Detection, characterization, and management of pathogens associated with ornamental crops (greenhouse, nursery/landscape) and turfgrass.
PLNTPTH 5120: Diseases of Ornamental Plants – Spring semester
PLNTPTH 5685: Plant Disease Diagnostics - May term
The purpose of my program is to develop plant health management strategies to address the disease problems faced by the floriculture, nursery and turf industries of Ohio. My goal as an extension educator is to enhance knowledge of pathogens’ biology, etiology and epidemiology through development of educational material (fact sheets, pest-alerts), visits to greenhouse/nursery/golf courses, as well as through participation and presentations at grower-oriented meetings, trade shows and workshops.
