Dollar spot is the most important disease of highly maintained turfgrass worldwide. It can cause disease on most species of turfgrass. Considering the importance of the disease and the number of years that dollar spot has been researched by plant pathologists, it is surprising that we still know little about this disease and the fungus that causes it.
